Canada SIN Number Information:
Who needs it: Apply for a SIN if you plan to work in Canada (paid work).
Where to apply: Service Canada (online or in-person at a Service Canada Centre, where available).
Documents usually required: your valid passport and your study/work permit (originals).
Keep it safe: SIN is a 9-digit number — only share it with employers, financial institutions, or government agencies.
Tip: Apply early if you’ll start work soon — employers need your SIN to process payroll.
