Visa Issuance / Passport Submission

Congratulations. Your study permit application has been approved. The next steps are critical in completing your journey to Canada. Please follow the instructions below carefully.

Passport Submission

• RCIC will send you a Passport Request / Visa Issuance to your email.

  
  

• You must bring your passport + any required documents to the VAC or embassy as instructed in the letter.

  
  

• Once submitted, you should not travel until you receive the next document (Letter of Introduction).

  
  
  
  

Receiving the Letter of Introduction (LOI)

• After visa/travel-authorization is issued, IRCC will produce a Letter of Introduction.

  
  

• Your RCIC will forward this Letter of Introduction to your email.

  
  

  Action: Print the Letter of Introduction (or keep a clear electronic copy) and store it securely with your travel documents. You will need to present this letter at the port of entry when you arrive at the airport in Canada, along with your other travel documents.
